About Mounit Baytna
Mounit Baytna, meaning “our home’s mooneh,” is a Lebanese pantry brand made in the village of Kfarhouna in the Jezzine district of South Lebanon. It produces handmade sweet and savoury mooneh, from jams and preserves to ready meals and traditional Lebanese grocery items, working with local Jezzine farmers to source its ingredients. Everything is made without added preservatives, keeping close to a genuine home-kitchen approach.
Beyond the food itself, Mounit Baytna carries a social mission: it partners with SESOBEL, a Lebanese organisation supporting children with disabilities, donating a share of its proceeds. This combination of village craft and charitable purpose has helped the brand build a following in Lebanon and among the diaspora, including in the Gulf.
Why Mounit Baytna Matters
Mounit Baytna combines authentic village mooneh with a clear social purpose. By making additive-free preserves in Kfarhouna, sourcing from Jezzine farmers and donating a share of proceeds to SESOBEL, it supports both rural agriculture and a cause for children with disabilities, showing how food brands can carry meaning beyond the jar.
