About Toters
Toters is an on-demand delivery and e-commerce platform founded in 2017 by Lebanese entrepreneurs Tamim Khalfa and Nadim Khater. Starting in Beirut, it set out to solve a real local problem: fast, reliable delivery of food, groceries, pharmacy items, and retail goods in a market where logistics infrastructure was fragmented.
The company built its own delivery fleet and technology stack, allowing it to control the customer experience end to end. Toters has since scaled significantly, raising international venture funding and expanding its operations, becoming one of the most recognized consumer technology brands to emerge from Lebanon in recent years.
Why Toters Matters
Toters showed that a scalable, venture-backed consumer platform could be built and grown from within Lebanon, even amid challenging economic conditions. It created thousands of livelihoods for drivers and staff, supported local merchants with a route to customers, and became a case study in resilient entrepreneurship for the wider ecosystem.
