About Mersel Wine

Mersel Wine is a natural Lebanese winery founded by Eddie Chami, working with extremely high-altitude vineyards in the mountains around Deir el Ahmar and Jabal Mansour. Mersel has built a reputation as one of the boldest names in Lebanon’s natural wine movement, farming some of the highest vineyards in the country and making wines with minimal intervention that celebrate their mountain origins.

The winery is widely known for pioneering Lebanese pét-nat, its sparkling “Leb Nat” style, as well as expressive reds built around Cinsault, an old Lebanese workhorse grape given new life here. Mersel’s wines are honest, energetic and full of character, and they have found enthusiastic audiences among natural wine drinkers in Lebanon and across international markets.

Why Mersel Wine Matters

Mersel has helped redefine what Lebanese wine can be, championing high-altitude farming, native Cinsault and the country’s first serious pét-nat. Its success has drawn global attention to Lebanon’s natural wine scene and to overlooked mountain terroirs, adding energy and diversity to the national wine story.
