About Adyar
Adyar is a Lebanese wine label rooted in the country’s monasteries, connected to the Order of Lebanese Maronite Monks. The name comes from the Arabic word for monasteries, and the project revives a winemaking tradition that has been part of monastic life in Lebanon for centuries. Adyar farms vineyards attached to several monasteries across Mount Lebanon and beyond, producing wines under different monastery cuvées.
A defining feature of Adyar is its commitment to organic agriculture, making it one of the pioneers of organic viticulture in Lebanon. The label offers reds, whites and rosés, each linked to a particular monastic estate and its terroir. Adyar wines carry a distinctive story, blending spirituality, tradition and a modern, environmentally minded approach to farming.
