À propos de Plan BEY
Plan BEY is an artisan-publisher and design space in Beirut’s Mar Mikhael, opened in December 2010 by Karma Tohmé and Tony Sfeir. The name is a wordplay, joining “Plan B” with BEY, the airport code and shorthand for Beirut, and it captures the spirit of the place: creative, resourceful and rooted in the city. Part publisher, part print studio, part shop, Plan BEY has become a fixture of Beirut’s independent design scene.
Pourquoi Plan BEY compte
Plan BEY matters because it gives Lebanese and regional artists a physical platform and keeps traditional print crafts alive in the process. By producing limited-edition prints and artist books through silkscreen, letterpress, offset and archival inkjet, the studio treats printing as an art form rather than a commodity, and its collaborations turn local creativity into objects people can own and share. Since opening in Mar Mikhael in 2010, it has helped anchor Beirut’s independent design and publishing community. For anyone seeking meaningful, made-in-Lebanon stationery and art, Plan BEY is a cultural landmark as much as a shop.
